Island Creek Trail features 5 miles of hiking trails near Pollocksville, NC. There is a 1/2 mile interpretive trail as well as 2 easy loop trails, all of which are well-marked. These areas are great for an afternoon hike to stretch the legs or just get out in nature. Remember to share the trails with mountain bikers and trail runners.
From highway 17 in Pollocksville turn onto Beaufort Road. It will turn into Island Creek Road. A few miles down the road on your left you will see a small parking area for the Croatan Forest Island Creek Walk. This is the trail head.
